- Did you meet any of your reading goals, and if so, which ones? Yes, Last year I set my Goodreads challenge to 30 books for the year, and I am happy to report that I read 35.
- Have you explored any new genres? I don’t think I necessarily explored any new genres (unless you count some noir-type books, but I only read those because they were written by Sivia Mornea Garcia), but definitely new authors. I was already listening to a lot of Agatha Christie Novels the past couple of years. ( The Hercule Protiot audiobooks narrated by Hugh Fraser have been my go-to ones) So this past year, I decided to try all of the books by Richmond Osmond.
- What was the most overhyped book you read this past year? I don’t know if any of the books that I read this past year I would consider overhyped. There were definitely books that, while not as well-known or new, I tried and thought were just okay or not as good as some of the others I read. One example is The Phantom Tollbooth. I watched the old Chuck Jones movie out of curiosity one day, and so decided to try the children’s book. The book was somehow even more strange, and I know I was not the target demographic, so I will just chalk that one up to not being a kid when I first read it.
