Goals you have let slip and why

Oh boy, this is a tough one. I had a couple of huge goals for 2025 that, at the beginning of the year, looked promising and that I thought I would definitely complete or at least make more progress on. One goal in particular involved an important life skill that I really wanted to finally learn and accomplish. I had even put money into buying an online course.

My other really big goal had been to really get things going with this blog and associated activities. I was going to write more and was looking to create several other social accounts to tie to it and maybe even branch out into doing little videos.

Unfortuantely my job had other plans, and I ended up being stuck planning an entire festival ( something very much not in my wheelhouse, like at all ). I also took a temporary second job on top of that during the summer, and this led to me having virtually no free time, and all my progress towards these two goals stopped. While I am proud of everything I managed to accomplish this past year ( successfully planning the festival, as well as a second wonderful job in my field), I am sad that I had to drop those big goals that I had planned. Part of the reason I did not mind just having different part-time work was that it was supposed to leave me more free time to work on the things I really needed to. It is my hope that as we go into 2026, I will be able to pick those two goals back up from 2025.
