What is your favorite drink?

Coffee!!!!

In all seriousness, I love coffee, and one of my favorite things is to randomly find new coffee shops to try while we are running errands or are out and about. Unfortunately, over the past couple months, there seems to be an uptick in the number of restaurants, bakeries, and cafes in the area where we live. This being the case, I thought it only appropriate to highlight some of my favorite coffee shops and cafes.

  1. Penny Lane Art Gallery and Café – (109 S Main St, New Carlisle, OH 45344) Penny Lane is a cozy cafe that features a menu of sandwiches, salads, and breakfast dishes, alongside art displays and live music. They also have an amazing rotating menu of seasonal and weekly specials. In addition to all the food, they also have an incredible coffee selection. Just like the rotating food menu, they also have a seasonal drink menu that often features coffee flights with super-creative flavor combinations.
  2. Epic Coffee Shoppe– (Castle Hills Shopping Plaza 22 W Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429) EPIC Coffee Shoppe is a seller of fine, artisan-crafted coffees and desserts. From French Pastries to Affogato. The atmosphere of Epic Coffee is fancy European café with a touch of bohemian artistry. In addition to the wonderful environment, Epic serves not only a variety of styles of coffee, they also have a massive list of flavorings for customers to choose from.
  3. Lefty’s Eats & Espresso – ( 2 W Main St, Fairborn, OH 45324) Lefty’s is a cozy eatery offering coffee, sandwiches, and pies, including gluten-free options. One thing I love about Lefty’s is the staggering number of custom lattes they always have available. Lefty’s will also often have seasonal barista creations offered as recommendations on the drink menu.
  4. Warehouse 4 Coffee– (3131 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45429)Warehouse 4 coffee specializes in meticulously-crafted espresso drinks, rotating coffees, and an unlimited tea selection, which are complemented by luxiourious house-made baked goods and pastries, with an emphasis on local, organic produce. The shop also serves up artisan hot and cold deli-style sandwiches.
  5. B-Side Coffee Bar (6178 Chambersburg Rd, Huber Heights, OH 45424) B- Side Coffee Bar is a comfy little spot with housemade syrups for coffee drinks plus breakfast, burgers, salads, and craft beer. All of their latte flavors are made in-house and even their regular drip coffees have some amazing roast options. B-side is a smaller cafe, so be sure to stop by earlier in the day rather than later as they are pretty popular and the place gets packed fast.

I hope you have enjoyed this brief tour of some of my favorite coffee spots. If you live in the Dayton Area and did not see your favorite on the list, please drop your recommendation in the comments 🙂 Have fun caffeinating!
